How can you not like a church whose mission statement is "Come be loved not judged?" Add to the fact that they have an awesome, if not sometimes funny pastor and great worship music and kids programs and well, just hard not to love this place!

First Church of God is like home to me and its congregants are my family. The motto "Come be loved, not judged!" is demonstrated everyday by the love and compassion that we all share with each other. The pastor's messages each week are God inspired, with life application and some humor. I love this church!!

The love and humor in the Pastor's weekly messages convey what all the people there are about; love each other, and love your neighbor. I'm proud to be a part of it, and that my kids feel loved there too!

This is our "neighborhood" church, and we could not be luckier; trust me, we would drive clear across town to get here! Our children have taken God into their heart and souls, and so have we. Pator Troy is amazing, I feel like each sermon I hear was written just for me. When I have had a "particular issue" going on in my life,it just seems that that is the topic he is discussing on Sunday! This is the first time that my husband has felt comfortable in a church; I get him to go with me, and he feels like a part of the "First Church of God" family as well. Pastor Troy could not do it without Tina, and she could not do it without all the wonderful volunteers~ Thanks so much to all of you!

When I first walked in 13 years ago...everyone was a stranger (i was greeted with a hug and felt so comfortable and welcomed)...then associates (women invited to functions)....then friends (everyone knows my name)...now family!!!!!!!! Come visit us! We have so much fun learning about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!

Also, everyone is always helping other members and praying for their problems. This is a great place to find a church home for yourself, your family and your friends. Lots of kids here and a great children's church. The people here feel like long-lost friends you're getting reacquainted with. The humor level is great here too. Try it, you'll love it.
